The building dominates Piazza del Campo with its stone and brick facade, and the iconic Torre del Mangia which was added in the fourteenth century, as well as the marble chapel, built in 1352 as thanks to the Madonna for the end of the plague that scourged the city for about a decade.\n\nOn the first floor there is the civic museum and the splendid Teatro dei Rinnovati, while going up to the second floor there is the hall of the Municipal Council and the suggestive Loggia dei Nove which gives us a splendid view over the Market square and the panorama behind it, where find the Orto de 'Pecci. Here on clear days you can see the whole countryside south of Siena up to the peaks of the Amiata.\n\nI'll let you the link for tickets availability.\n"},{"type":"link","content":"https://www.getyourguide.co.uk/-l4927/?cmp=ga&cq_src=google_ads&cq_cmp=6780292309&cq_con=86415215944&cq_term=palazzo%20pubblico%20siena%20biglietti&cq_med=&cq_plac=&cq_net=g&cq_pos=&cq_plt=gp&campaign_id=6780292309&adgroup_id=86415215944&target_id=kwd-318788747731&loc_physical_ms=1008668&match_type=e&ad_id=446394692537&keyword=palazzo%20pubblico%20siena%20biglietti&ad_position=&feed_item_id=&placement=&device=c&partner_id=CD951&gclid=Cj0KCQiApL2QBhC8ARIsAGMm-KH8UBS6pplNR91gfUSYl1KWbwWJmwp8F0B1l5-AnW6LHEVwy2UYY3AaArAnEALw_wcB"},{"metadata":{"width":1000,"height":1168},"type":"img","version":1,"content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FnfFC8VMuFHyzHYfbiXlO%2F2000-05-17_Siena_05170009.jpg?alt=media&token=4143d4d1-c0d2-433b-a8cd-3efa82c902b7"},{"metadata":{"width":1000,"height":1000},"type":"img","version":1,"content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FnfFC8VMuFHyzHYfbiXlO%2Fglimpse-piazza-del-campo-siena.jpg?alt=media&token=924895ac-553f-483f-ac39-d9ff4775a90d"},{"metadata":{"width":1000,"height":667},"type":"img","version":1,"content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FnfFC8VMuFHyzHYfbiXlO%2FEntrone-Cielo_1.jpg?alt=media&token=4a5d0b65-5c15-44bc-95b5-51edb384aa60"},{"type":"text","content":"the next two images will show the Teatro dei Rinnovati and the Orto de' Pecci"},{"metadata":{"width":800,"height":400},"type":"img","version":1,"content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FnfFC8VMuFHyzHYfbiXlO%2Fsienaaa.jpg?alt=media&token=15c4fe9a-c312-423c-b4f0-3df2254e41f2"},{"metadata":{"width":950,"height":713},"type":"img","version":1,"content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FnfFC8VMuFHyzHYfbiXlO%2FOrto-de-Pecci-Siena-Urban-trekking-5.jpg?alt=media&token=67bd4504-0ab0-4cad-a0b9-fa61cd805c22"}]},{"address":"Museo Civico","location":{"longitudeDelta":0.10218818160659443,"latitudeDelta":0.09219986310369421,"latitude":43.31811371497432,"longitude":11.331882099999975},"media":[{"type":"text","content":"The second stop is the Museo Civico, situated on the first floor of the Palazzo Pubblico.\n\nEstablished in the thirties of the twentieth century, the museum testifies to the history of the Palazzo Pubblico with the frescoes that decorate the walls and with most of the objects that are preserved there. This sloping location, made up of winding paths, small pools, spongy rock caves and a medieval spring, make it a oasis of peace and tranquility, with the city of the Palio behind it. To help the visitor, the recognition of the plants housed is facilitated by special tags - white for native plants and yellow for exotic ones - which report the scientific name and any vulgar name and provide information on the family they belong to and the area of distribution. Since 2004, simple explanatory signs placed in various areas have accompanied the public on both guided and free visits. The presentation of the plants of the Botanical Garden, which surprisingly extends once you cross the driveways, is based on systematic or ecological criteria. The flower beds with ornamental plants, pergolas and rows of trees constitute the original roots, according to the canons of nineteenth-century gardens.\n\nAs always the link in the end for the opening time and tickets.
