From the car park, you can head west along Lord Mayors Drive towards the Beeches Café, where you can grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat before embarking on their adventure.\n\n"},{"type":"text","content":"After passing by the café, you will come across an information point that houses facts about the reserve. This is a great spot to stop and learn more about the history of the Beeches, including the fact that some of the trees in the forest are over 400 years old."},{"type":"text","content":"Continuing ahead from the information point, you will arrive at a crossroads known as Victory Cross. From here, you can choose to follow one of several walking trails that wind through the Burnham Beeches. The paths lead through ancient woodland, passing by tall beech trees that provide a canopy of greenery overhead. The trees, with their distinctive smooth, grey bark, create an enchanting atmosphere that transports visitors back in time."},{"type":"text","content":"As you meander along the trails, you may encounter various types of wildlife, including deer, foxes, and a range of bird species. Walk back to the junction of tracks and turn right. Pass an information shelter on the left, then take a right-hand fork in the track. Here you will find the famous Beeches Cafe. The Cafe is in the heart of the nature reserve.\n\nHere you can rest your legs, and indulge in one of thr Cafe's famous hot chocolates to warm you up from the cold winter.
