This bijou neighbourhood is known for its perfectly preserved cottages, constructed for the officers of the garrison at Arthur Circus, and for the most delicious bakery in town. The double-fronted Jackman & McRoss is part shop and part café, with layers of loaves and tarts and cabinets of sweet temptations. Bentwood chairs and bare boards complete the atmosphere, which is always heady with the aromas of baked goodness."},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2F18928_yqyKlPSgIa3KsjKrM5kH2vmBcGj7O5rKzaZ9bsfMwEU.jpg?alt=media&token=c778d45c-9174-4028-8b27-1699dbc58104"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2F20170118-084626-largejpg.jpg?alt=media&token=7d7352dd-4b18-4b18-85d8-0f70bf450ad4"}]},{"address":"Salamanca Arts Centre","location":{"longitudeDelta":0.14321712068773834,"latitudeDelta":0.09219986310369421,"latitude":-42.886864564750105,"longitude":147.33342885000005},"media":[{"type":"text","content":"Welcome to Salamanca Arts Centre, one of Hobart's most amazing cultural hubs. Did you know that this building was originally a warehouse that dates back to the early 1800s? It was used for many different things over the years, including a storage depot during the second world war, but it wasn't until the early 1970s that it was converted into the vibrant arts centre you see today. As an arts and culture enthusiast myself, this is one of my favorite stops on the tour.\n\nAs a famous artist once said, \"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.\" And that's exactly what you'll find when you step inside the Salamanca Arts Centre. I promise you'll be transported into a world of creativity and imagination. There are so many things to see and experience here, including exhibitions, galleries, workshops and more. As we're standing here in front of this beautiful building, I encourage you to take a moment to look around and take it all in.\n\nBut what makes this stop so unique? At the Salamanca Arts Centre, there's always something new to discover. Whether you're an art lover or not, there's something for everyone. My personal favorite are the workshops, where you can learn from local artists and create your own masterpiece. It's a fun activity for family and friends to do together.\n\nIf you're looking for a truly special experience, be sure to check out the special deals and discounts available to visitors here. The locals know that Salamanca Arts centre is one of the best places to find unique souvenirs, gifts, and mementos of your visit to Hobart.\n\nTake your time to explore this vibrant art culture hub because there's so much to see and absorb. Once you're done here, we can move on to the next stop. But until then, just enjoy the creative energy of this magical place."},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2Fsalamanca-arts-centre.jpg?alt=media&token=4cf3b479-5b0c-4ca7-8662-443f8a706699"}]},{"address":"Handmark Gallery","location":{"longitudeDelta":0.14321712068773834,"latitudeDelta":0.09219986310369421,"latitude":-42.88688946475011,"longitude":147.33385015000002},"media":[{"type":"text","content":"Handmark Gallery"},{"type":"text","content":"Handmark Gallery features creations by Tasmanian jewellers, sculptors and furniture makers, including an upcoming exhibiton by painter Adrian Barber."},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2F2021_k1_29414-facebook-page-1024x684.jpg?alt=media&token=5ed6ce0d-a698-41b5-a8f5-f925d9f8830f"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2FIMG_63081-1024x576.jpg?alt=media&token=efa01dbe-4ad1-4e9f-bbf5-fac68d6fcc62"}]},{"address":"Pilgrim Coffee","location":{"longitudeDelta":0.14321712068773834,"latitudeDelta":0.09219986310369421,"latitude":-42.88043116474678,"longitude":147.32834615000004},"media":[{"type":"text","content":"# Refuel with locally roasted beans"},{"type":"text","content":"11:30: Stroll into town and follow the in-crowd to Pilgrim Coffee for its daily choice of white or black single-origin beans or linger with a cold-drip over at Villino."},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2Fdownload%20(4).jpg?alt=media&token=8f951d9c-054a-4519-ab9b-816aa3e4cb4e"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2Fbs-pilgrim-coffee-lrg.jpg?alt=media&token=8c35da26-7ab1-45ef-a57c-14f1608e03f0"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2Fdownload%20(3).jpg?alt=media&token=e307b113-6fd8-4b5c-b5ec-82d3faa61aa9"}]},{"address":"Villino Coffee","location":{"longitudeDelta":0.14321712068773834,"latitudeDelta":0.09219986310369421,"latitude":-42.88139241474728,"longitude":147.32579615},"media":[{"type":"text","content":"# Second choice for coffee - Villino Coffee"},{"type":"text","content":"11:30: Linger with a cold-drip over at Villino."},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2FVillino%2BCofee_Shop_Hobart_TAS_A.Davenport_%2B9.jpg?alt=media&token=fb4ac17b-fc30-429c-b008-791b990c1f29"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2Fhero-300.jpg?alt=media&token=6810794d-2d2f-4336-88b5-4d2c2674a79a"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2Fl2xmquf6fLtpSKh53iSq%2F20d1d0fc3e5e2dedb08fa6b7850b091a.jpg?alt=media&token=4d32da2a-c870-4a94-8adb-6c9c0ff4b07d"}]},{"address":"The Lounge by Frogmore Creek - BAR & RESTAURANT","location":{"longitudeDelta":0.14321712068773834,"latitudeDelta":0.09219986310369421,"latitude":-42.88192056474754,"longitude":147.3357838},"media":[{"type":"text","content":"# The Lounge by Frogmore Creek - BAR & RESTAURANT"},{"type":"text","content":"12:45: The cool-climate wineries of Coal River Valley are a civilised 20-minute cab ride from downtown.
