You won't regret it.\n\nAnd if you're looking for an interactive activity, why not try to find the hidden fountain tucked away at the end of this street? It's a beautiful spot that not many visitors know about.\n\nSo enjoy your time here in Borgo San Jacopo, and when you're ready, we'll move on to the next hidden gem on our tour.\n\n"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FyK5TUJsHj4LzSzRy51Bf%2F310993687_161312199853393_7872174671903877737_n.jpg?alt=media&token=ebadda72-1212-4d35-9d47-bd791de37bb8"},{"type":"text","content":"If you have any questions or want more suggestions on what to see and do here, feel free to ask me. My name is Emmi and it's my pleasure to be your local tour guide today. Are you ready to explore the hidden gems and highlights of this beautiful city?\n\nDid you know that we're standing in one of the most spectacular spots in Florence? You're in luck because this is one of my favourite places; we're at the Piazzale Michelangelo. Standing in front of us is an impressive bronze replica of Michelangelo's David, but what makes this spot so special is the panoramic view of the city that you have from here. You can see everything from the Arno River to the dramatic skyline of Florence's historic centre. It's really breathtaking!\n\n"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FyK5TUJsHj4LzSzRy51Bf%2F33.jpg?alt=media&token=ba478a47-e8ca-43ab-8793-560b5a72ad1a"},{"type":"text","content":"As the famous poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning once said,"},{"type":"text","content":"**\"Open my heart and you will see, written inside, Italy.\"**"},{"type":"text","content":"This is one of the best places to see and feel Italy's beauty. From here, you can observe the colours of the rooftops, the warm sunshine on your skin, and breathe in the aromas of the city.\n\nI'll tell you a little-known fact - the Piazzale Michelangelo wasn't always as grand as it is now. In fact, it was just a simple garden designed by the architect Giuseppe Poggi, who wanted to celebrate the glory of Florence's past with this stunning view.\n\nBut don't just stand here and marvel; explore the area! You can see the Romanesque-style church of San Miniato, with its dazzling green and white facade, which is said to be one of the oldest churches in Florence. There's also a quaint garden nearby, 'Giardino delle Rose' which is truly a hidden gem with over 350 different types of roses.\n\nTake your time here to fully immerse yourself in the city's beauty. Walk around, breathe in the fresh Italian air and don't forget to take pictures - trust me the view is splendid from every angle.\n\nThank you for stopping by at the Piazzale Michelangelo. When you're ready, we'll continue on the rest of the tour.\n\n"},{"type":"text","content":"Opening hours\nSaturday 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm\nFriday 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm\nThursday 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm\nWednesday 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm\nTuesday 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, 9:30 am to 1:00 pm\nMonday 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, 9:30 am to 1:00 pm\nSunday 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, 9:30 am to 1:00 pm"},{"type":"link","title":"Location","content":"https://goo.gl/maps/cF3MBRQUKis4ncCX9"}]}]
