In 1612 Marie de Medici spearheaded the creation of the garden, inspired by the Boboli Gardens in Florence where she grew up. It spans over 61 acres of land, which I didn’t fully cover on this particular walk through the Jardin du Luxembourg.\n\nI always enjoy looking at some of the various 106 statues spread throughout the garden. On this visit it looked like the flowers were recently planted. They’re usually bright colors year-round, even in the winter. One of my favorite times to visit the garden (and Paris in general) is during the fall. Nothing compares to seeing the leaves changing colors and falling."},{"type":"video","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FthRQgophRHohB7ujV7vb%2FSnaptik.app_7023521462178925829.mp4?alt=media&token=cb915419-dd16-4949-9866-d0a9587a8c06"},{"type":"text","content":"There is no bad place to sit in the whole garden and the green chairs are always occupied. Whether you're on the terrace at La Terrasse de Madame, next to the fountain with your remote-controlled sailboat, or right under a tree in the shade with a book, chances are you're enjoying yourself .\n\nAnother symbol of the Jardin du Luxembourg is the beautiful Medici Fountain, built in 1620. It's a popular photography spot for good reason, but is now depleted and under renovation. Of course, that means I'll have to go back and take more pictures when I come back!"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FthRQgophRHohB7ujV7vb%2Fa-walk-through-jardin-du-luxembourg-palm-tree.jpeg?alt=media&token=9e56df32-1de4-4b47-81fe-1ed3575cf543"}]},{"address":"Seine Avenue","location":{"longitudeDelta":0.14321712068773834,"latitudeDelta":0.09219986310369421,"latitude":48.858254018177156,"longitude":2.335622000000015},"media":[{"type":"text","content":"# Seine Avenue for sunset"},{"type":"img","content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2FthRQgophRHohB7ujV7vb%2Fhome.jpg?alt=media&token=ae42b01a-ecc6-4824-863a-74be4165bd0e"},{"type":"text","content":"SEINE AVENUE delivers private cruises on Seine river in Paris aboard Murano, created in Venice by master craftsmen, and aboard Lugano an elegant \"runabout\" built on the shores of Lake Zürich in 1966 in the spirit of the Rivas and ChrisCrafts of the 30s ."},{"type":"text","content":"Never leave Paris without going to this place.
