At that time the weather is quite cool and pleasant, not too hot. The peak tourist season in August should avoid the sweltering heat and crowded scene of tourists. However, you should pay attention to some festivals in Berlin to consider for your trip:\n\n* Festival Karnaval der Kulturen: held annually on the holiday of Pfingsten (Pentecost) for 4 days in the district of Kreuzberg. Many artistic activities such as marches, bustling lion dances carved the streets.\n* Berlinale: film festival held in February with many films participating, promotional activities, film screenings in the month are very busy.\n* Holiday 1/5: festival held on the weekend of May 1 with food and dance activities.\n* There are also a number of other festivals such as beer festival held in August, Berlin music festival in September every year."},{"type":"text","content":"# Moving in the city\nTo travel in the city, you can buy a Berlin Welcome Card that can travel all types of vehicles such as Berlin's S-Bahn, U-Bahn, buses, trams, and ferries without limits. In addition, this card is also quite discounted when you use it to buy tickets to museums and attractions. If you stay short and only go to certain destinations, you can buy tickets by region.\n\nIn Berlin there is a bus line that can take you around the city. It is bus 100, the first bus route since German reunification connecting East and West Berlin. The route starts from Alexanderplatz through Museum Island, Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, Victory Tower and the Kurfürstendamm shopping district to finally stop at the zoo. If you take the train, there is also a city view tour, which is the S-Bahn route connecting the Zoologischer Garten and Alexanderplatz stations.\n\nTickets for public transport or other types of Pass, Travel card in Berlin can also be used to go to Ferry (train, ferry). Ferry are usually ferries on Lake Wannsee with beautiful scenery on both sides. Catch an S-Bahn train to Wannsee station and take the ferry to Kradow, there are quite a few pedestrian streets with great shops and beer gardens. Ferries run every 1 hour and take about 20 minutes to get to Kradow."},{"type":"link","content":"https://www.berlin-welcomecard.de/en"},{"type":"text","content":"# Brandenburg Gate"},{"metadata":{"width":333,"height":500},"type":"img","version":1,"content":"https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/freeguides-prod.appspot.com/o/assets%2Ftours%2F76MWyv85u5dvh32orxBG%2F99a3e3578453f9d88b7b34e16af7846c.jpg?alt=media&token=854f184f-5eb3-4327-94c8-0ff131f45cb6"},{"type":"text","content":"The Brandenburg Gate is a neoclassical monument that has existed in the city's history since the 18th century\n\nAs you may already know, the gate is a symbol of the separation between East and West Berlin, - and perhaps one of the most important landmarks in the city!
