The rate card
What sets your price
One rate card prices every property, and it is the same one the app bills from. Four things move your price.
2. Rooms or beds
Hotels sit in one of three size bands: under 100 rooms, 100–249 rooms and 250+ rooms. Hostels pay per bed, with a cap for each market, and never more than A$400 a month.
3. Location
Every country is a Value, Standard or Premium market, from its typical hotel room rate (for hostels, its dorm bed price). Value markets pay 0.85× the Standard price and Premium markets 1.25×.
4. The standard of your property
From economy to luxury, each step moves you half a market up or down, never below the Value price or above the Premium one.

A small economy property in a Value market pays the Value price, which is where A$128 comes from. A luxury property in a Premium market pays the Premium price.
Hostels
A bed earns its dorm price × 75% occupancy × 365 ÷ 12 a month. You pay a share of that per bed: 0.095% for Basic, 0.19% for Standard and 0.38% for Premium, up to your market's cap.

Commitment and payment
Month to month by default. Committing for longer takes money off, and paying a year up front takes off another 10%. Discounts add up to 50% at most.

Why is every price a “from” price?
Because no two properties pay the same. Your price is set by your type of property, its size and its location, so some properties pay more. The smallest hotels in our lowest-priced markets pay A$128 a month for Basic and A$200 for Premium. Large luxury hotels in the priciest markets pay up to A$481 a month for Premium. How much does FreeGuides cost?
Hotels, serviced apartments and holiday rentals pay one monthly price per property, from A$128 for Basic and A$200 for Premium. Hostels pay by number of beds and location: a 60-bed hostel in Australia pays A$36 for Basic, A$73 for Standard and A$145 for Premium a month, and no hostel pays more than A$400.
Do you charge per room?
Not for hotels. A hotel pays one monthly price for the property, set by its size (under 100 rooms, 100 to 249, or 250 and over), its location and its standard. Hostels pay a small share of what their beds earn, so the price follows the number of beds, with a cap for each market and a ceiling of A$400 a month.
What is in each plan?
Basic: digital compendium, events & excursions and analytics dashboard. Premium adds local recommendations map, self-guided walking tours, the AI receptionist Eli, PMS integration & online check-in (rolling out now), upsell pop-ups & offers and loyalty tools (coming soon). Hostels also have Standard, which adds guest group chat. Every plan also includes bookable activities, with commission to you; your logo, colours and photos; every guest’s language, automatically; QR codes for every room. Features come with the plan you choose, not as separate add-ons.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Setting up is free, and your 10-day free trial starts once guests are scanning your QR codes. You choose a plan after that.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. Pay month to month and cancel any time, or commit for 6 months to 3 years for 5% to 20% off. Paying a year up front takes off another 10%, and discounts never add up to more than 50%.
Which currencies can I pay in?
Any of 30, including the Australian, New Zealand and US dollar, the pound and the euro. Prices are set in Australian dollars and converted at the European Central Bank reference rate. You pay by card in every currency, and by card or direct debit in Australian dollars.
Do you have plans for hotel groups and associations?
Yes. Group plans for chains are priced together across your properties, so talk to us. If your property belongs to a group or association with a FreeGuides agreement, its rate applies when you choose your plan in the app.
